The smart attachments have been developed and patented exclusively for use with NRGkick charging units.
Yes, all NRGkick smart attachments are generally compatible with the NRGkick charging units.
However, please note: A 32A adapter cannot be used with a 16A charging unit - only 16A adapters can be used here.
The most common attachment for charging at home in Austria and Germany is the 16A 5pole adapter (up to 11 kW). If you want to charge faster, use the 32A 5pole adapter (up to 22 kW). The Schuko Type E+F adapter is suitable for occasional charging at household sockets.
Alternatively, you can also install an NRGkick wall socket at home for particularly convenient and safe charging.
No. To use NRGkick, at least one smart attachment or an NRGkick wall socket is required. NRGkick charging units are not compatible with adapters from other manufacturers.
Yes, thanks to special country variants, you are also well equipped when traveling and can charge your e-car safely at typical local sockets.
All NRGkick adapters include automatic detection, temperature monitoring, unplug-detection and arc protection - for maximum safety when charging.
Yes, NRGkick is designed for outdoor use without any problems.
Please note:
Weatherproof housing & connector: NRGkick is waterproof and dustproof. Nevertheless, we recommend that you avoid immersing or leaving the NRGkick to lie in water.
Temperature managementThe charging unit continuously monitors its temperature. If it gets too hot or too cold, it automatically reduces the charging power or pauses for safety reasons - and resumes charging as soon as the conditions are right.
Clean contacts: Wipe the connectors briefly before connecting them and keep them free of dirt and moisture.
Cable protection: Take care not to pinch the cable or run it over sharp edges and avoid tripping hazards.
Yes, NRGkick is waterproof and dustproof according to IP67 + IP69K standards.
NRGkick continuously monitors the temperature of the charging unit itself and all phase pins of all smart attachments. If dangerous heat development is detected, the charging current is automatically adjusted or charging is paused to avoid dangerous situations.
Yes - you can leave NRGkick plugged in permanently. The charging unit is designed for continuous use, monitors itself and only releases power when charging is active.
NRGkick does not require any installation. You can charge at any existing socket with the appropriate NRGkick smart attachments.
If you don't already have the socket you want for charging, you should have it professionally installed by an electrician.
As NRGkick is a mobile wallbox and therefore not permanently installed, you can simply unplug it at any time and take it with you wherever you want to charge. You can also simply take NRGkick with you when you move house.
Yes, NRGkick is both dustproof and waterproof and can also be used outdoors.
You can charge with NRGkick and the appropriate smart attachment at any standard socket. For longer charging processes, we recommend at least a 16A CEE socket. While charging at a standard household socket is safe and easy, charging takes a little longer.
With the different smart attachments, you can charge worldwide with NRGkick. All you need is the right adapter for the respective socket. NRGkick smart attachments are available in numerous country variants.
NRGkick is locked to your car during charging. A few seconds after charging has started, settings can only be changed via the NRGkick App (e.g. changing the charging current or stopping charging) to prevent unauthorized interference. You can optionally lock the smart attachments to the charging unit with the lock (available in our webshop). When charging with the type 2 adapter at public charging stations, the smart attachment also locks itself to the charging station.
Yes, NRGkick is water- and dustproof, as well as temperature-resistant from -40 to +70 °C. NRGkick is also continuously temperature-monitored and automatically intervenes before dangerous situations arise by adjusting the charging current or stopping the charge.
With the type 2 smart attachment, you can also use NRGkick at public AC charging stations and wallboxes.
Software Services
The app is included with NRGkick 32A and 16A. With NRGkick 16A light, you can activate the app at any time as a paid upgrade.

The Smart Service for PV-led charging is an optional software upgrade. You can either order it directly when purchasing your NRGkick charging unit or upgrade it at any later time.
You can connect your charging unit to the app via Bluetooth, if you are close to it. For remote access, your NRGkick and your app require an internet connection.
You can set the charging power in the app in 0.1 ampere increments.
Yes, you can set an individual time control or charging schedule in the NRGkick App. You can also set charging limits for certain amounts of energy.

No, the Smart Service „Photovoltaic-led charging“ can either be ordered directly when purchasing the NRGkick charging unit or can be activated at any time later as a paid software upgrade.
NRGkick already supports a large number of inverter manufacturers and new brands are constantly being added. You can find the complete overview on mobile-ladestation.at/privatkunden/pv-laden. You can also integrate any inverter via the Custom API.
Your NRGkick must be assigned a software license for the Smart Service „Photovoltaic-led charging“. In addition, NRGkick and your inverter or smart meter must be in the same WiFi in order to establish a connection.
OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) is the standard with which chargers talk to a backend/fleet/billing system. This allows you to integrate NRGkick into existing platforms together with charging units from other manufacturers.
NRGkick supports OCPP 1.6.
The Smart Service OCPP can either be configured directly when purchasing the NRGkick charging unit or can be activated at any time later for a fee via the webshop or the NRGkick App.

Technical support
Please first check that all connectors are fully connected and clean (NRGkick charging unit, smart attachment, power source, connection to the car).
Also check whether the NRGkick has power after connecting it to the power source. You can recognize this by the LED lights on the unit or the signal tone.
Then try to connect NRGkick again in the correct order: first connect NRGkick to the smart attachment, then connect it to the power source and finally connect it to the vehicle-side connection on the car.
Also check whether a charging limit or schedule has been activated in the NRGkick App. Please also check whether any restrictions have been stored in your vehicle.
If the problem persists, please contact our support team with the serial number of your NRGkick and a brief description of the problem.

On the NRGkick and in the app, you can set the maximum current that your power source provides and that your car can receive.

If the problem persists, please contact our support team with the serial number of your NRGkick and a brief description of the problem.
Please make sure that you are close to your NRGkick and that it is connected to a power source (but not to the car). Make sure that Bluetooth is activated on your smartphone.
Also make sure that you have downloaded the correct App „NRGkick“ - not „NRGkick Classic“ (this app is exclusively for the first generation NRGkick).
Also try to close the NRGkick App completely and reopen it. As soon as your NRGkick appears in the list of devices when you reopen the app, tap on it and scroll down. You will be asked to enter your access code. You can find this on the sticker on the back of your NRGkick. It is the 7 digits before the „S“. Alternatively, you can also scan the QR code on the sticker on your NRGkick.
If your NRGkick does not appear in the list of devices, or if connection problems persist, please contact our support team with the serial number of your NRGkick and a brief description of the problem.
NRGkick loads updates automatically if it has an internet connection and is connected to a power source. Please note that NRGkick must not be plugged into the vehicle.
Connect your NRGkick to a power source and to the internet and leave it plugged in for a few minutes to load updates.
If your NRGkick has not been connected to the internet for some time, the data from the last charges has probably not yet been transferred to the cloud. Please therefore connect your NRGkick to a Wi-Fi. As soon as an internet connection is established, your NRGkick will automatically attempt to carry out the missing transfers so that they are also visible in the charging report.
If the problem persists, please contact our support team with the serial number of your NRGkick and a brief description of the problem.
If you have not changed the access code of your NRGkick after purchase, you will find it on the sticker on the back of your charging unit. You can either scan the QR code on the sticker or enter the 7 characters before the „S“ of the serial number manually.
If this code does not work, you have already changed the access code in the past. In this case, please contact our support team with the serial number of your NRGkick and a brief description of the problem.
